Bänder

Ein Frequenzband ist ein Bereich von Funkwellen, der einem Mobilfunknetz vorbehalten ist, um Daten zwischen der Antenne und Ihrem Handy auszutauschen. Jedes Band trägt eine Nummer (B20, n78…), die mit einer genauen Frequenz und einem Duplexmodus verbunden ist.
Niedrige Bänder (700–900 MHz) durchdringen Wände besser und reichen weiter: bessere Abdeckung in ländlichen Gebieten und in Gebäuden. Hohe Bänder wie n78 bei 3,5 GHz liefern deutlich höhere Geschwindigkeiten, aber über kürzere Entfernungen, daher ihr Einsatz in Städten und dicht besiedelten Gebieten.
